John Brine, born in Kingston Upon
Hull, 1951. A local artist with over 40 years
experience in painting, drawing and exhibiting works.
Predominantly an accomplished portrait artist
John Brine has transcended his works to
landscapes. Using the high discipline involved in portraiture and coupled
with this
experience his style birings both clarity and abstraction into his paintings.
Using a
style and technique that intensifies the fluidity of water, the reflections
and colours
give unique depth, contrast and light to the scene.
John Brine's Landscape
paintings draw you into the subject, his interpretations of river scenes
and harbour reflections show his talents to the full. Johns work is
distributed in the UK and Ireland, his work has been exhibited regularly
over the years in local galleries,
working mainly in the medium of Oil. John also works in the mediums
of Acrylic, Pastel
and Watercolour. John Brine was also shortlisted for the TV show "Watercolour
challenge"
