Leonard Eastburn is
a native of Hull, born in 1925 and has been painting for as long as he
can remember. He attended formal classes at Hull Art College over a period
1946 to 1951, and later Lincoln Art College. Leonard Eastburn taught for
25 years. He has worked in most mediums but has gravitated to watercolour
landscapes in later years. Leonard Eastburn has many paintings in collections

For the last fifteen year, Leonard Eastburn
has divided his time between his home in East Yorkshire and Spain, which
is reflected in the twin strands of his output - the subject matter of
one strand being 'Spanish Life' influenced from his time in Spain, the
other taking inspiration from East Yorkshire locales. Leonard is mostly
concerned with light and colour, and still finds "making marks on
paper" a thrilling experience. Leonard Eastburn undertakes Commissions. |
