Located ten miles north of Hull and the Humber Bridge, Beverley racecourse is on the western outskirts of the town on the common pasture Beverley Westwood.

Beverley is a flat track one mile three furlongs, oval in shape, with a chute providing an extension to the home straight for five furlong and two mile races. The course is right-handed (runs clockwise).The back straight is downhill and the bend into the home straight is tight, with the final three furlongs a steep uphill climb.
